Vision and Mission

The Vision of the Institute

As an educational institution we know the path we are walking on. We cherish our visions, cherish our ideals, cherish the music that stirs in our hearts, the beauty that forms in our minds and the loveliness that drapes our purest thoughts. Out of these, grow delightful conditions & heavenly environment from where a silent positive revolution starts.

Our vision is to bring a positive change in society. A teacher is the harbinger of new world where a human being lives in complete harmony with his own self, with environment, with other nations and with all the galaxies. Our vision is to make Rashobians understand and realize that physical boundaries may exist on earth but there should not be mental our attitudinal boundaries amongst human beings.

Our vision is to make pupil-teachers engineers of social change and the tool of this change is education.

The Mission of the Institute

At Rashoba we accomplish great and noble tasks & we also accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker. At Rashoba our mission is:

  • to provide a conducive environment for the development of an individual’s personality. We, at Rashoba, believe that performance has everything to do with an individual’s desires and determination to excel, thereby providing a platform to unleash the dormant faculties and talents within.
  • to encourage pupil-teachers to appreciate the natural and artistic realms of life.
  • to grasp and imbibe the complexities of moral issues while at the same time recognize the significance of technology in growth of human civilization.
  • to understand and appreciate human differences in culture, gender and race while at the same time cherish the Indian value system with a laid emphasis on the Indian culture, traditions and heritage, imbibing the best of the west and at the same time remaining true to our own cultural, scientific and technological golden past.
  • to have unflinching faith in the potential of pupil-teacher and to ignite their minds to develop the positive convictions while discarding those that hold them back.

Goals

We select the goals (these may be called objectives). We determine the course of action that brings us nearer to these goals. Determination of the course of action propels us to act till the goals are achieved. This is the key in the hands of Rashobians. At Rashoba we understand that goals are not only absolutely necessary to motivate us, they are also essential to keep us alive. Our vision & missions resemble the stars which illuminate the night. No one may be able to touch the stars, but at Rashoba, like the sailors on the ocean, we take the stars for guides. This undoubtedly leads us towards our cherished goals, which are:

  • to develop a combination of knowledge and skills to promote modern outlook and a scientific temper.
  • to generate social consciousness among pupil-teachers to meet the challenges of the society and the world at large.
  • to provide quality education for self-reliance.
  • to groom the young pupil-teachers into dynamic, charismatic and holistic human beings.
  • to build national, social and individual character.
  • to make education an instrument of positive change.

RASHOBA IS DIFFERENT

Rashoba is firmly rooted and verdantly bloomed in our rich Indian culture with a laid emphasis on scientific temper and progressive outlook. Having taken off in 2006 with a faith in dreams and fire of will, the college now basks in the golden hues of its unparalleled distinction through the perseverance of pupil-teachers and the grit of its teachers.

Come to Rashoba and take a look into the classrooms and labs. You’ll find Rashobians reading, studying, enjoying and attending lectures. But that’s not all. You’ll find them working, rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty while gardening. In a word, you’ll find them getting experience as part of their education.

While we believe in the importance of practical, nuts and bolts education, we also firmly believe in a complete education. When you come to Rashoba you will find that complete education is imparted within the framework of a thorough general education as prescribed by Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa. We will teach you to think logically, judge critically and communicate clearly. Besides a laid emphasis on our own culture we want you to gain an understanding of other cultures as well. It’s this kind of broad education that helps you rise faster in your chosen field. But above all, it helps you to grow as a compassionate human being and get more out of life.

ACADEMICS & EVALUATION

By academic freedom we understand the right to search for truth and publish and teach what one holds to be true. This right also implies a duty: one must not conceal any part of what one has recognized to be true. It is often said that history is written by conquerors with the help of academicians. At Rashoba we believe that every pupil-teacher has the potential to change the destructive ways of the world by having the great strength obtained from academic studies and proper evaluation.

BEYOND THE LIMITS OF ACADEMIC

“Know Thy Self” has been dictum since ages in every part of the world. This self-exploration leads to self-improvement. Keeping in mind the overall development of the pupil-teachers, Rashoba has introduced various guilds & cells based on the essentials of personality development and human excellence. The concept of cells has emerged as a result of introspection by the college administration to provide opportunities to the pupil-teachers to bring forth, foster and enhance their variegated abilities. The aim is not to create a self centered human being but to develop in them a spirit of team work and respect for the abilities of fellow pupil-teachers.
